Over his career Larry has enjoyed teaching these techniques at Chinese Medical Universities and massage schools. How To Survive Your First Year
Have you ever thought about the realities of becoming successful in this field? If you don’t make it in your first year you are probably not going to do so. I know that sounds harsh but I am a realist. I can teach you how to start your practice almost immediately from the day you leave school, which is extremely important. Your first year is going to make or break you and you do not have time to waste. This course is designed to get you working as soon as possible and keep you working.
I have worked in a number of situations and been successful in all of them. I can teach you the pros and cons of practices that I have been associated with and help you decide what type of practice you want to explore.
The subjects discussed during this course will help you determine your marketability and your marketing profile. We will discuss the pros and cons of the different types of practices and opportunities that await you. You will learn what it takes to “open your doors”. Everything you need to get your practice going from deciding on a location, private or joining a practice, to setting up and managing your office, supplies, advertising and contracts.
Meridian Vibrational Therapy
Meridian Vibrational Therapy is the use of specialized medical tuning forks. These forks are "tuned" to specific frequencies that have powerful effects on both the mind and the body. The theory of vibrational therapy employs the same principles of TCM by balancing the energy, moving qi and blood, promoting circulation in the body and the same principles and theories of ultra-sound in western medicine. Many times in my treatments of patients I will use medical tuning forks in conjunction with or in place of acupuncture needles.
During this seminar the student will learn how to choose a tuning fork, the theories of vibrational therapy, the treatment principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine, specific frequencies and their use, specific treatment protocols, procedures and the clinical use of medical tuning forks.
This seminar is designed for the chiropractor, massage therapist and the physical therapist that is unable to use acupuncture needles and wants to enhance their treatments of their patients using alternative and integrated protocols.
The "Introduction to Meridian Vibrational Therapy" is a one day seminar and does not include all the information as the two day "Meridian Vibrational Therapy" seminar due to time constraints.
Therapeutics Energetics
Have you ever thought of working in a sports medicine center, a pain management clinic or sharing an office with a chiropractor? How about in a ski or summer resort, in a luxury spa, health club or on a cruise ship? If so this seminar was designed with you in mind.
These types of practices are very specialized and I have worked in these fields for the past twenty two years maintaining a successful practice in pain and stress management, injury prevention and rehabilitation and sports medicine. In order to meet the specific needs of these types of practices I designed a specialized treatment procedure called Therapeutic Energetics.
Therapeutic Energetics combines various therapeutic massage modalities, Traditional Chinese Medicine, acupuncture, herbal medicine, meridian vibrational therapy, aromatherapy, heat therapy, sports massages stretching techniques, pnf stretching techniques and digital meridian imaging. DMI is the use of a computer program that reads the energetic imbalances within the meridians and displays them on the computer in the form of a bar graph. Therapeutic Energetics can also be very effective in a traditional acupuncture practice as well.
During the course we will discuss how to intake a patient and how I market acupuncture using a short direct talk. I will teach you specific acupuncture point formulas, massage techniques and the use of DMI.
This class is a hands-on class. After the lectures and demonstrations students will pair up and perform these techniques and treatments on each other under my direct supervision. I will help them to become proficient using various massage techniques combining acupuncture, using both needles and laser and Digital Meridian Imaging to achieve the best results possible.
Alternative Modalities
This seminar practitioners will learn the use of a variety of treatment principles. These specialized modalities include acupressure, aromatherapy/essential oil therapy, cupping, magnet therapy, moxibustion (moxa), laser therapy and an introduction into meridian vibrational therapy and digital meridian imaging.
During the seminar we will discuss acupuncture point locations, functions and indications used in a number of specific treatment protocols. As this is a "hands on" course students will then perform these treatments on each other.
